Brooke Patmor
(they/them)

In 2010 Brooke was introduced to the birth world through the avenue of homebirth midwifery where they had the opportunity to apprentice a sage midwife in Northern California. It was then that they knew this was a life calling. In addition to being a birth and postpartum doula, Brooke is also a full spectrum doula and reproductive justice advocate providing support for all birth outcomes including abortion, miscarriage, and stillbirth.

Through a number of training’s, workshops and a vast life experience Brooke approaches this work from a trauma-informed lens and feels strongly about helping birthing people hold onto their autonomy through the birth and labor process.  Brooke offers evidence-based information about birth, giving clients a full scope of all the options so that they can make well-informed decisions that feel right for them and their family. Brooke believes people should birth where they feel comfortable, safe, and empowered and supports clients birthing at home, in hospitals, and at birth centers. They believe in the wisdom and intuition of the human body and are honored to help safeguard the birthing process.

As a queer, fat, non-binary person themselves, Brooke is dedicated to offering inclusive care. They welcome people of all identities and family structures and recognize the added challenges of navigating the birth and postpartum world as someone with marginalized identities. Brooke is down-to-earth and compassionate in their care, offering a steady sense of peace to the process. They rely on their intuition and learned skills to help meet clients where they are.
